Josh Kellam, President of The Garcia Companies, recently joined Stephen Ross, Chairman and Founder of The Related Companies, a global real estate development firm and Owner of the NFL Miami Dolphins, at the annual meeting of The Florida Council of 100. The two exchanged thoughts around the significance of creating affordable housing and the roles both public and private sectors play in establishing healthy communities for our workforce.
Mr. Ross brings years of industry experience and knowledge on the topic of affordable housing. Since 1972, affordable housing has been a foundational element of The Related Companies, making them one of the largest preservationists of affordable residences in the country.
Mr. Kellam is the Chairman of the Attainable Housing Committee for The Florida Council of 100 and a proponent of creating communities of opportunity for all. The Garcia Companies is currently creating a Florida neighborhood of attainably priced homes that will be a model for future development. The development, Terra Lago, is located in the Village of Indiantown, and is planned to break ground in early 2024.
