On Saturday, May 19, Garcia Farms sponsored and hosted the first ever awards banquet for Clewiston Christian School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA). The event had close to 200 people in attendance, including students and parents from Clewiston Christian School, Moorehaven and Clewiston High School. There were several sponsors of the awards banquet, including Garcia Farms.
Jason Dugan Jr., a high school junior at Clewiston Christian School and the son of Garcia Farms' Ranch Manager, served as FFA’s Treasurer this year and is the incoming Vice-President. Jason Jr. oversaw setting up the venue location and gathering addresses of each farmer in the area. The Garcia Farms team is very proud of Jason Jr. and all the students at FFA.
